Sacramento Kings signed Free Agent Maurice Taylor


Sacramento King's President of Basketball Operations Geoff Petrie announced today that Team has signed free agent forward Maurice Taylor to a contract.Per club policy,terms of agreement are not public.

We feel fortunate to add Maurice to our roster,” explained Petrie. “We look forward to having him provide us with some additional depth, flexibility and veteran experience on our frontline. We think he’ll fit in really well.”

Taylor entered his career as 14th overall 1997 first round pick, and was selected by Los Angeles Clippers where he spent three seasons.

On August 25, 2000 Taylor signed with Houston Rockets and played five seasons there.
On February 24, 2005, he was traded to Knicks .

The addition of Maurice gives us an experienced veteran who can make open shots and play both the four and five,” said Kings’ head coach Eric Musselman. “We’ll probably look to him to contribute more at the center position.”
